Describe Yourself:I'm a 50-something "multi-preneur," with fingers in a number of fascinating pies: social media consultant, business social networking site administrator and fiction writer.
I have recently published the first in a series of mysteries set here in Boston. I built a multi-media site to promote the book and explain the characters, at: www.maggie-della.com. I've also written a number of short stories featuring the same characters. Most of them are on my Gather page. Please do have a look!
Finally, I'm also the founder and administrator for a business social networking site for business people and self-employed folks in Arlington, Massachusetts. I'm a firm believer in networking and want to extend the benefits as far and as wide as possible! -

Stefanie Plum, Gather Partner Team, May 7, 2009, 1:24PM EDTHi Margy,
Sorry I skipped over your ping before. I've just recently got into Janet Evanovich, and I must say that Stephanie Plum is a hoot! -
David Matthews, Feb 23, 2009, 10:04PM ESTYou're right, it IS a balancing act being a TV writer. But after you've done it long enough, it kind of becomes second nature. Sure there's a level of frustration, but no more so than any other creative endeavor where somebody else sets the creative perameters. Such is the inherent push-pull between artistic expression and commerce.

Elizabeth Madrigal , Feb 20, 2009, 1:09AM ESTHi Margy,
Speaking of snoring, did you read that they now think it causes hardening of the arteries in the brain? Harvard just published something yesterday, but said nobody should snore as the vibration (seriously) is very bad for the capillaries in the body and damages them. They were suggesting everybody get treatment for it. Jeesh. Can't even snore with impunity once you get older.:)
Take care,

Dale Darling , Feb 18, 2009, 8:39PM ESTYep; napping is a good invention, we just have to do it.
I wonder about all of the energy we absorb and so on when on the computer. I really limit myself because of writing, reading, composing, playing with Max, the chowderhead golden retriever - and being bored by computer stuff much of the time.
Sleep is a good invention. And no one knows more than folks who struggle with it. I'm in there, but it is sporadic.
Best to you!
